Royal Caribbean approached me to re-imagine the lucrative 3-Day cruise experience. I began talking to users who have never been on a cruise before. The qualitative research pointed to customers not knowing what to expect from each port based on the images used.  My solution included quick on-site videos to provide a more immersive look into the ports of call during the trip. A secondary goal was to clean up the cluttered look-and-feel of the website, which Royal and the competition all suffered to have a clean or cohesive appearance.
My role included
  • Competitive analysis of the competition
  • ReDesign based off on the analysis
  • Considering how to simplify the noise and clutter of competing visuals without consistency
  • Providing a deep understanding of the ports-of-call through short 2-3 minute videos from each location
  • Presentation to the client
